Penrith Plaza Chocolate Wheel

One of the major fund raising activities for the Emu Plains Lions is the Penrith Westfield Plaza Chocolate Wheel which is conducted every Saturday morning in conjunction with three other Lions Clubs in the area.

The proceeds from this activity nets an annual contribution for Emu Plains which allows for support of local projects as well as being used to sponsor various organisations such as Lions Medical research, Child Cancer research, Care Flight, Lions Eye Research, helping the disadvantaged, the visually impaired, homeless Children, and needy in the community.

The stresses upon the financial budgets of service clubs such as Lions International are enormous as the needs within the disadvantaged areas of our communities are ever increasing.

All assistance is greatly appreciated.   Please support.

2008 'Carols on the Course'

The 'Carols on the Course' is an annual event sponsored by, and held at the Emu Plains Sporting and Recreational Club.   This years function will be held on Sunday December 14, attracting a great many local residents and their children.   All proceeds from this event is donated to the Cancer Council and is supported by the Emu Plains Lions as well as various organisations such as the local rescue services.

There is entertainment for the children with singing, games, and a visit by Santa.   All meals are organised and catered for by the club's own staff with the barbeque being manned by the Lions.   The evening concludes with a spectacular fireworks display to the delight of the young spectators.
