A recent decision by many Lions Clubs has been to discontinue the practice of supporting various world vision related organisations. It was felt that with hundreds of active Lions organisations around the world, any money required within specific areas of the world would be forwarded directly to the people needing assistance by the nearest Lions Club in that local region. Our charter does not allow us to use any money raised through fund raising projects for other than those of non-profit Lions and community programs.   Any money raised for a particular cause is therefore distributed in full without incurring any administrative charges. The Lions have many projects which receive ongoing support.  The Children's hospital, The Lions Medical Foundation, Cancer research, sight first, and Timor Leste to mention only some of the recipients of Lions support.  There is provision for aid to meet the needs for people in under developed countries.   Any funds allocated towards such a cause will be distributed without administrative costs being levied. If you would like to make a contribution in support of a specific cause, you can email treasurer Lion Bob Cramp or send a donation to the treasurer c/o Emu Plains Lions Inc. P.O. Box 18, Emu Plains, NSW. 2075. Whether you want to make a single donation or you would like to make ongoing contributions to a favourite recipient, you will receive a tax receipt from Lion Bob as required.   100% of your contribution will be received by your chosen beneficiary.
